Wireless Proximity Safety Solutions
The proximity detection and warning system has been designed to help save lives by reducing the risk of collisions between all types of moving equipment and people, automatically protecting either personnel or other equipment including vehicles and pedestrians. The technology works by setting up a Wireless invisible zone around the machine, or person being protected. Whenever this zone is penetrated by another object (that is also fitted with a SmartKii™ control unit, or personal Tag), an alarm is activated to warn the drivers /operators to pay attention.
Optional wireless Receiver speed controllers, and Lock out controllers can be fitted to any type of equipment allowing for automatic speed control limitations to be activated, or complete disabling of any of the machines functions, until the presence of any objects detected are at a safe distance from the machine being protected.
Large mining operations can greatly enhance their safety needs, when a visiting contractor or a non company vehicle enters the property; the security check point personnel temporarily provide a portable transceiver to the visitor. This is then plugged into any 12 - 60 volt power source (adapter included), and now this vehicle will transmit and receive warnings to and from other equipment and machines in its immediate vicinity. Allowing both the equipment operators and the visitor’s presence to be known to one another.

Boom "Lock out" wireless controller systems, allow ranges from as close as one foot from the object being protected. to automatically lock out the controls to protect the person or asset fitted with either a personal Tag or transceiver alarm unit.
The System has several components that may be used in a typical installation. A small transmitter unit (called a "Personal Tag") can be placed into your pocket, in a vest or an arm-band. The Personal Tag Unit emits a special signal that identifies an object in proximity. This enables any equipment fitted with a Alarm Unit" to detect any person or other SmartKii™ equipped machine within the programmable proximity detection range and activate a visual/audible warning. Rotating beacons for pedestrian warning are also available.
Proximity alert functionality has been designed with operators in mind. The in-cab display in your equipment provides safety alerts to the operator. A visual and audible alarm is activated if any heavy or light vehicles or person come within wireless range.
